That famous jewel, The Pink Panther, has once again been stolen and Inspector Clouseau is called in to catch the
thief. The Inspector is convinced that 'The Phantom' has returned and utilises all of his resources - himself and his
oriental manservant - to reveal the true identity of 'The Phantom'.

del popolo dei Lugash, nonchè uno dei più grandi diamanti del pianeta, la "Pantera rosa" continua ad attirare le
attenzioni dei più scaltri ladri del mondo e a catalizzare gli sforzi dell'ineffabile ispettore Clouseau. Quando la
gemma sparisce, il catastrofico ispettore punta le sue attenzioni sul celebre "Phantom": ladro gentiluomo che ha appeso
il grimaldello al chiodo e vive gli ozi del suo "buen retiro" in Costa Azzurra. Cosïchè, intabarrato in uno dei
suoi improbabili travestimenti, l'ispettore si intrufola nella magione dell'indiziato, scatenando una valanga di
catrastofi da lui stesso provocate, facendo impazzire il suo diretto superiore, l'ispettore capo Dreyfuss. Ma alla fine
riuscirà miracolosamente a risolvere il caso...
